Instructions: Apply Component 1 and allow it to dry for several hours. Next, evenly apply Component 2 and let the fine crackle pattern develop as it dries. Once fully dry, the cracks can be highlighted with antique paste, colored waxes, or pigment powder for a beautifully aged effect.

Important top coat note: This crackle system must be sealed with a solvent-based varnish only. Water-based varnishes, including Polyvine, are not compatible and may cause the finish to become sticky or gummy. Because varnish formulas can vary and sometimes change over time, we strongly recommend creating a small test piece before sealing your finished project. This extra step helps confirm that your chosen solvent-based top coat works well with the crackle finish and gives you the look you want.
