Meet Mabel 💕

Mabel is proof that big personalities sometimes come in very large packages! This oversized chest of drawers arrived with plenty of good bones, a little outdated attitude, and enough storage to make even the most overstuffed closet breathe a sigh of relief.

She’s been given a fresh European Farmhouse Country makeover in soft, elegant tones, turning her from “grandma’s chunky chest of drawers” into the sophisticated lady she always knew she could be. 😉

Mabel is substantial, charming, and just a tiny bit bossy—after all, with this much storage, she expects you to fill every drawer! She’s one of those statement pieces that doesn’t need to shout for attention… she simply walks into the room and says, “Darling, I’m here. Now put your things away.”

Grisaille Cottage features previously loved pieces, but don't let those wrinkles and scars fool you, their all feisty and ready for a new family!  All items are vintage, wooden pieces in good condition that will typically have cosmetic imperfections such as light nicks and chips, and small scrapes, as well as signs of character and history. All of these contribute to the appeal of the furniture and the redesign aesthetic. If you want an item to look like it just came out of the factory, a vintage piece may not be the right fit for you.  You can also expect some signs of hand-painting through the occasional brush stroke, and through the artist's personal technique, which may include layering and overlapping of colors, applied patina, and sometimes light distressing.
